Happy Birthday Classic

Today’s card is for the those who really like classic trucks. The Designer Series Paper makes this a quick and easy handmade birthday card.

Card Recipe

• Card Base – Sarah Sand Cardstock 8½ x 5½ scored 4¼
• Front Base Layer – Basic Black Cardstock 3½ x 5¼
• DSP – 3¼ x 5 
• 1 – Basic Black Cardstock 3 x 4½ – Use with Deckled Rectangle dies 4^th one in from the outer edge.
• Front Top – Layer 2 – Cajun Craze Cardstock 2½ x 4 – Deckled Rectangle dies 5^th one in from the outer edge.
• Top – Layer 3 -DSP 2 x 3 ¼ 
• Inside base layer – Cajun Craze 4 x 3¼ 
• Inside top layer – Basic White 3¾ x 5
• Sarah Sand – 2 x 3 for lab

Supplies

He’s All That Stamp Set and All That Dies
Inks – Memento Tuxedo Black
Twine – Baker’s essentials pack – black
Rustic Metallic adhesive backed dots
Deckled Rectangles Dies

Directions

1. Assemble front base layer by adhering the DPS to the Basic Black cardstock.  Attach to card base with a 1/8 boarder on the left side, top and bottom.  
2. Top layer – Using the Deckled Rectangle die, 4^th one from the outer edge and basic black cardstock cut 1 rectangle. Repeat process with the 5^th die using the Cajun Craze cardstock. 
3. Adhere the DSP layer to the Cajun Craze rectangle. Take black twine and go from the top left front to the bottom right. Then from the back side come across the front top right to the bottom left and adhere it to the back of the Cajun Craze rectangle.  Now adhere to the basic black rectangle layer.  Using black dimensionals adhere to the top of the card leaving about 3/8 of inch on the right side of the card and about ¾ of inch from the top and bottom.
4. Use the label die from “All That Dies” and cut 1 label from the Sarah Sand cardstock.  Take the happy birthday to a classic stamp and stamp the label with tuxedo black ink.  I stamped on Sarah Sand cardstock and used the Stamparatus so, I could apply ink several time for good coverage.    Next adhered with dimensionals, centering on top layer. 
5. Finish the card front by adding rustic metallic adhesive dots.
6. Stamp a sentiment on the inside if you like. 
7. Adhere the basic white layer to the Cajun Craze using your adhesive of choice and finish by adhering to the inside.
